empty .warehouse
When the company I previously worked for moved locations, they got their own HUGE warehouse. They let me in before the move was all done to shoot some pictures. It’s really cool to actually see an empty warehouse without it being cluttered to the farthest corners and getting a clear look of how it develops.
The colour temperature of the lighting is disastrous for photography (I think), which is why the black and white version, at least on the top one, comes out nicer to my taste.
Or then you have to do some serious colour corrections to make it look less of that sickly greenish hue you often get in these big industrial spaces.
The bottom two are when the warehouse was “decorated”, but not yet filled up. I find the repetitiveness of the iron beams strangely comforting (OCD, anyone?). The colour version might actually work better there, thanks to the yellow. If it would’ve been all plain steel, it might not have come out so nice.
Oh, and while I was at it… I also made a line drawing (Illustrator) of the outside, for marketing purposes.
